‘Hocus Pocus 3’ is in development at Disney!
Well, the news comes as no surprise after the success of the second movie of the franchise ‘Hocus Pocus 2′, which was released last year.
As reported, the sequel, shot in Rhode Island, set a record on the streaming charts with 2.7 billion minutes of viewing.
The sequel came nearly 30 years after the original film, which was released in 1993.
Walt Disney Pictures president Sean Bailey confirmed that the third film of the beloved franchise, starring Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy, and Sarah Jessica Parker, is in the works while discussing upcoming live-action projects in a profile published by The New York Times on Sunday.
Fans will certainly be thrilled by the news, however, no other information was given about the third film yet, including a release date or casting.
But the lead stars, Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy, and Sarah Jessica Parker, who played the Sanderson Sisters, the three cursed witches, have all said that they’d be open to making another movie.
The trio of witches returned from the dead to Salem, Massachusetts decades after their banishment in search of some youthful souls to devour.
